| Background: |
A common rancher's or farmer's shotgun. 12 gauge, pump-action, simple and reliable, the shotgun has been the survivalist's workhorse since its invention in the early 19th century. The shotgun's primary versatility comes from its ability to use many different types of ammunition, from destructive buckshot to lightweight birdshot. Holds 4 shells in the magazine. Effective range depends on ammunition, from heavy wounds at 40 yards with buckshot to very little armor penetration at 15 yards with birdshot. |
